Review

The Horseshoe Trail was the White-tail Hikers' third paved trail of the year, and it didn’t disappoint. While it's a paved path, much like Bear Creek Trail, it still offers a nature-filled experience, with plenty of wooded areas and scenic views that make you feel a bit removed from the surrounding suburban landscape. The trail was overcast on the day of our hike, but fortunately, there was no rain, which kept the conditions pleasant and comfortable.

One of the highlights was the view across Lake Grapevine, where we could see parts of the Horseshoe Trail we had hiked just a few weeks earlier. It was cool to recognize familiar sections from a different perspective and reflect on our previous adventure.

During the hike, we were fortunate enough to spot a small herd of deer. It was a serene moment that reminded us just how much nature can thrive even close to a city. The trail itself is well-maintained and easy to follow, offering a relaxing, enjoyable experience for hikers of all skill levels.

Overall, the Horseshoe Trail is a great addition to our collection of hikes. While it's paved, the trail's proximity to nature and the beautiful views across the lake make it more than just a typical urban path. It’s an ideal choice for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic walk in the area.
